Special DWI enforcement effort conducted, department recieves donation
Welcome aboard to column number twenty of the Sheriff’s View. Somehow it just does not feel like we should already be on column number twenty. But then again the month of June approaches and that marks the half year notch on the countdown calendar. So I guess it is true that we are advancing into the year 2012 rather fast.
We are not having good luck this week on the car front. My vehicle went out for repair when I discovered at a car wreck scene that both of my interior LED light bars were not working. At first I just thought the drivers on Rt. Y who were approaching the wreck scene were being extra careless that morning until I realized that my car was not the usual Christmas tree lighting affair at the scene. Then on Friday night and Saturday morning one car each day went down with a mechanical defect. So Major Cristoffer will have his work cut out for him on repairs.
It is now 2:55pm and I am returning to the column with good news. I had barely managed to write the paragraph above when Major Cristoffer called me and told me he was delivering my repaired car back to me. I am now back in business with a fully operational vehicle and he also tells me the repairs are underway on both of the other cars so I guess business is good today. I probably should confess that what I wrote in last week’s column about the new wrecked car we are rebuilding was just a little off fact.Exposure Lights make high performance cycling bestcrystallight for mountain biking or road biking at night. The car has 49,000 miles not 42,000 miles. The goodledlighting1 MJ-808 bicycle light has always been the cheapest high power bike light available in the UK. But it is still a great deal for us.
We had 61 inmates on the list this morning.Police brightstal1 play a crucial role in being seen while riding a bicycle, providing safety and security. We had another inmate make a serious attempt at hanging himself this week. However other inmates spotted him and sounded the alarm so he did not suffer any physical injuries, he was treated at the ER and released back to us. We did a full mental commitment order on him and he is now in a mental ward at a hospital in the Joplin area. Hopefully they can help him with his problems.
Now I am going to tell a story of a recent happening within the department but I will leave the names out to protect the semi-guilty. A few weeks ago we had a burglary alarm at a residence in Buckhorn. As two of our female deputies checked the home out they both said that the back door knob turned as they reached for it to check. The r4onsale Centre stock a wide range of garden lights and outdoor wall lights as well as many other beautiful ... There was not supposed to be anybody home at the time so the lady deputies called for backup.
We backed them up in force and even had the PCERT team on standby for the event. After some time on scene and after trying a number of attempts to determine just what we did have we decided to effect entry into the home using a key the home owner’s son brought to the scene. Capt. Claar, Lt. Cordova and I entered and cleared the house and other than one large scared gray cat we found nothing.
So three guesses which two lady deputies caught a lot of flak about moving door knobs and other spooky related type comments. It now looks like the ladies; well actually all of us, did well on this incident. The home owner came by to visit me on Thursday of this past week and told me he was proud of the way we handled the incident with care and concern for his property and the cat.Our range of ledbulbs products is extensive; the range includes fantastic garden spotlights, lamp posts, and stylish wall lanterns. The bottom line is that while the home owner in this case wishes to remain anonymous he gave us a check for $1,000 for the purchase of equipment to help us with these kinds of emergency situations. All I can say is thank you Sir! You made my deputies week.
